What is the Barkery Dog Bar?
The Barkery is Maine’s first indoor dog park and bar, where dog owners can enjoy great food and drinks while their pups play in a safe, supervised environment.
When are you planning on opening?
We’re planning to open in late Summer 2025! Stay tuned for updates by following us on social media.
Do I need to own a dog to visit?
Not at all! Everyone is welcome to enjoy our restaurant and bar, whether you have a pup or just love being around them.
Do I need a membership for my dog?
We offer both day passes and monthly memberships for the indoor dog park. Memberships come with perks like discounts on food, drinks, and events!
What are the requirements for my dog to enter the park?
For the safety of all pups, dogs must be:

Up to date on vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella)

Friendly and well-socialized with other dogs

At least 6 months old
Will there be staff supervising the dogs?

Can I bring my dog on a leash instead of using the park?
Yes! While the off-leash park is a highlight, leashed dogs are welcome on our patio and in the designated area inside the park.

What is on the menu?
We will serve gourmet food, craft beers, creative cocktails, and dog-friendly treats. Expect locally sourced ingredients and a menu that caters to both traditional and health-conscious diners!
Can I bring my own dog treats?
For safety reasons, we ask that you don’t bring outside toys or treats into the dog park. We have plenty of fun and delicious options available!
Can I adopt from The Barkery?
While we don’t do adoptions, we partner with local rescues to host adoption events, so you might just meet your new best friend here!
What if my dog doesn't get along with other dogs?
We work with A1K9 Academy to provide training for our staff and we highly recommend seeing how they can help your pup get ready for The Barkery.
